NATIONAL CALL FOR Tzedakah 5772
Like every year, our Association has actively joined the wonderful action of the National Call for tzedakah.
In the evening of Sunday, November 27, 2011, a gala dinner was given by the organizer of the 2011 campaign, Solly Levy, in the Salons of the Pavillon Gabriel, with the two sponsors of this year, Gilbert Montagne and Ari Abittan. The evening was graced by many celebrities, including Israeli Ambassador Yossi Gal, Chief Rabbi of France, Gilles Bernheim, President of the Consistory, Joel Mergui, etc. .... and embellished by stars of the show, as Michel Boujenah, Stephane Freiss, Géraldine Nakache, Alexandre Arcady, Tomer Sisley etc. ....
Our Association was represented by President George Benazera, Rabbi Shelomo Zini, Atthar Savior, Claude Benchetrit, Richard Layani, Laschkar Pierre, David Benizri, Youna François, Jacques Libraty and their wives, and Valerie Nabet, Andre Abecassis ...
Before Musaf Shabbat of December 10, 2011, (Paracha Vayichla'h) where Solly Levy attended and Gil Taieb, speeches were made aware of circumstances, if need be, our people on the imperative duty of every Jew, to show solidarity and especially do not remain indifferent to the needs of its less fortunate brethren "You shut thine hand before thy poor brother" (Rech 15/7).
As might be expected, our faithful have overwhelmingly responded to this call and announced their contributions, which were to materialize in the days following, with each one of our Berakha Shelomo Rabbi Zini.
The leaders of the operation could not believe it and expressed their thanks moved to a beautiful spontaneity and so generously.
Once again, the gifts were numerous and consistent, halfway up needs, and have left Béézrat'Hashem hope that someday soon they will no longer be necessary.
